I have herpies antibodies in my blood by the doctor said im not contagious?

I went to the doctor today to get results and she said there were herpes antibodies in my blood cauesd from coming in contact with someone with herpes. ive never had any outbreaks or syptoms of herpes and i asked was i contagious and did i need to be carful having sex and she said no. but she was a vauge sort of doctor and Im still stressing. does anyone know more about this.. If i just have the antibodies that doesnt mean i actually have herpes does it? I had a swab and everything done and i came back clear....
