Yes if you have genital herpes you can transmit it if you give or receive oral. Herpes type 1 or 2 are viruses which are very contagious. Anytime you come in contact with body fluids like saliva, semen or vaginal fluids you can spread the virus from one person to the other. It doesn't matter what type you have or when because they can both spread from one area of the body to another.
