What does it mean to have HLA antibodies?

I donated blood a month ago and received a letter today stating that my blood contains HLA antibodies most likely due to my prior pregnancy. And that I should not donate to my daughter. What exactly does this mean and should my daughter be tested to see if we have matching antibodies in the case she needs a blood transfusion?
